A Hippeastrum flower. Taken with old m/f Zeiss Flektogon 35mm f2.4 lens which focuses down to almost four inches. Adapters for it to Canon dslr are about a fiver off the eagerbay.
Think I got the flower name right. I grew it one Christmas - these are archive pics.

You did indeed get the name right, they are sometimes, but incorrectly, known as Amaryllis.
