Play Station

By mrswoolybill
And another 'home town' upload...
Behind our house lies the cemetery that I showed you a few days ago; beyond that is a children's play area. It may not be the highest one in England, but on a blustery day it certainly feels like it!
Mr woolybill has uploaded a couple of views of it recently so I thought I would give you my version. We had a very productive 20 minutes there last week, in between showers, and miraculously we managed to avoid getting in any of each other's shots. Is this the secret of a happy marriage... ?
Incidentally, my German Homework is just out of sight round to the left of this.
Oh and the swings, rope climbing frame and slide all carry my personal seal of approval, though the slide is a bit narrow.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Fantastic shot Moira, I was lucky enough to catch a display called 'extreme' at the weekend (but didn't have my cameraSad ) of kids using these ramps with rollerblades, skateboards and even one of those micro scooters. It is quite breath taking to watch them in action on these ramps.

Excellent composition! I like how the ramps frame the picture. The blue in the f/g ramp seems to reflect the blue in the sky. Well done!

PS I'm really loving the D40, and I've noticed that what it really, really likes is a collection of nice lines to latch onto... You can practically hear it purring.

Excellent composition Moira and a lovely image. I do hate these things though. My 2 boys love them. When they are on them my heart is in my mouth, knowing casualty could be coming our way at any moment. LOL

Hey Moira, this one is a bit 'arty', the mirrored geometries work well as do the repeated railings & of course the framing effect on the left/bottom. Sorry, that sounds vaguely obscene, you know what I mean Wink.
