Very clever. I'll go with the mono for its unifying effect, either main or V1, but I'd like to crop a chunk off the left. I'm not sure that so much horizon adds anything.
Mono is terrific - good composition indeedGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Thank you Moira - I have now added a 4/3 crop (V3) showing his foot steps in the sand. V4 is in B&W

V4 has a slight sepia feel to it
V5 is the B&W 4/3 version
V6 is a 1/1 crop in B&W

Hi Guy,
You just need a tiny figure on the left and you have Gulliver on the beach.

Good advice above, i like your chosen pov to compose the shot and your composition is perfectly justifying the fun in the beach, you have got a very dramatic sky also and that probably is the reason of space, i think, and that may be your intention to capture the whole atmosphere...but it works in both way, very good shot...I like all the versions as well...

I'm with Norman (Owdman) on this one; this has a touch of the 'Gulliver' about it and makes the viewer feel like a Lilliputian! I think it's the lead for me and I quite like the space at the left of the image with its bright cloudy sky, the expanse of sea and the mist, perhaps because the subject looks as though he's about to move into some otherworldly place. Cracking shot and very interesting to see the compositional variations. SmileSmileSmile

I prefer the space of the lead image, Guy. The added emptiness seems to make the boy even larger, and there is a balance between his size and the mighty, vast size of the ocean. Of course, b&w is my preference...
