Please shut the gate!

By helenlinda
A pause for a fun shot.

This wonderful fence, no hedge, no rails, just the gate!
Spotted it on a walk you do
Hope it makes you smile

Wondered about "please keep closed at all time" or " don't let the dog out" as alternative titles ...........any more offers

This is an early upload for me as I tend to do it in the evening, but I've a long gardening day ahead and keep putting it off!!
This is just one of many avoidance tactics!

Thanks for looking

Have a good weekend

Don't take offence (a fence) - the gate will have nothing to swing well spotted

Makes it easier to cut the grass anyway Smile Thanks for the bit of humour, I'm using the same avoidance tactics as you, but I'd better go and tackle my garden now,

A nicely observed piece, funny how EPZ has a way of making us look at things differently. Thanks...

Excellent, makes one smile at the idiosyncrasy of some people, of course not you but the owner of the Gate!

Made me smile. I can't quite read the writing on the gate, but perhaps it could say "No Entry".

What a brilliant find. The funny thing is that there isn't even a path leading to or from the gate.
Excellent, thanks for the laugh.

Wonderfully surreal, in a very English sort of a way. Well spotted.

My neighbour has the same situation.Just the gate and post.If it had been more ''decayed'' I would have taken a little detail shot of the decay. It did not cross my mind to take the ''whole'' thing. So well done Helen. As for title,Iwould have went for ''side entrance''

Now that is definitely different....maybe the fence is wearing Moira's invisibility cloakSmile

This reminds me of Tommy Cooper as we saw him on stage and his only prop was a gate and where ever he moved on stage he opened and closed the gate.

Well seen.

This appeals to my sense of humour, buy a house must get a gate to put the house name on, will buy a fence later, love it
