Pointing The Way North

By AntHolloway
A cloudless sky is good news for star trails shots but this sequence had something different as it had a minibus drive past and park up nearby. This lead to the headlights illuminating the foreground and the tail lights the left-hand side of the post.

Further illumination came from the rising moon off to the right of the shot.

The total exposure time was 8.5 minutes, f/5.6, ISO 3200.

A really well-worked image. The sign post draws your eyes into it and you get caught in the spiral of stars.
