Pool of the Arches

By ubaruch
The Pool of the Arches is situated in Ramla, a mixed Arab-Jewish town some 20 km. east of Tel Aviv, Israel. It was built as an underground water reservoir by the Abbasid caliph Harun-el Rashid in the 8th century A.C. and is presently a tourist attraction.
