poppy field

By pluckyfilly
Those of you that follow my uploads will know how long I have sought and prayed for a field of poppies, well at the weekend and not far from home minus camera of course (but it was raining anyway) I found this field, not a completel field but where the farmer infills the edge for wildlife and I thought this made rather a nice display. I went out early this morning and took a few piccies, might go back again see if I can better what I already haveWink

Many thanks for all c/c's on my recent butterfly upload, I am most grateful

What a display of poppies, Ann: certainly a place that cries out to be revisited. I notice you have a touch of corner vignetting which could easily be cloned out: then on second thoughts a crop to more of a letter box format might also make for a more dramatic image, taking off 1/3 of the sky and with the lower margin at the foot of the darker patch below the biggest f/g poppies. Just a thought, and I hope this does not offend.

Wade out through the white daisies till you get to the poppies and get the camera close to them too, with that many [p[[ies you're on a winner Ann, magical find.

Do you remember this one?

Looks lovely Ann - I like the way the whites interact with the reds personally - as has been said it's worth going back for more.

Really beautiful, Ann, wonderful image with super depth to it. Love it. Poppies are so wonderfully delicate; when they are out 'en masse' like here they are a treat to see.

YIPPEE......at last your OWN field to exlpore.
Watch out before you "go wading in" ...the farmer might not like it.

I like the white mixed in with the vivid Red ...gives it a good contrast.

A beautiful summer landscape Ann, you've composed this shot so well. I like the combination of daisies and poppies.
