Two lovely soft images. V1 Nice eye contact and tightly cropped. V2 is almost candid type. Well taken.

The girl has been caught with lovely expressions and has beautiful eyes.

With #1, I do not like the close crop but that is probably just me.

#2 has a bit of originality to it which I enjoy. To me the bag is too overpowering and I think either a plain or a smaller bag would be better. I do like the low angle.

Hope this helps

Hi Neil,

Both decent shots, though V2 has a very candid, unposed look to it which makes it quite different and an attractive image.

I have no issue with the close crop, but a couple of suggestions to improve it, - and also V2:

There is a pronounced red/pink colour cast in both shots. This may be due to white balance being incorrect, and likely would not happen if you calibrated your WB before shooting using the light you were using to take the shots. This can simply be to place a grey card in the shot, take a pic with auto WB, and then shoot the rest of the session. All shots in RAW, and you can then use the greay card in RAW processing to click on to measure the correct white balance to apply to al shots; or if shooting JPEG, select Custom WB and use the grey card shot as your reference WB, - BUT you must fill the frame with the grey card.

Ive adjusted this in both shots as best I could.

V1 looks better without the cast, which also reduces the amount of red in the eye whites; sharpen the eyes; crop so her head is tilted, - or better still have her pose that way, - its always more attractive; and I would soften her skin a little, - a close crop can reveal a lot of normal skin imperfections that are not flattering for a female shot, and look great for a male. Ive loaded Mod1 with this done.

V2, a very nice shot, - the same correction needs to be done, - its more obvious heres as your background should be white. Again, sharpen overall, - its a little soft, -and you can use levels selectively to even out the light on the background which falls off to the left. Not easy to light a background evenly.

I hope this is helpful,

Apart from the fact that you have cropped a bit close Neil I really do like V1. What lovely sparkling eyes you have found in her.
Nice mild expressions well captured in these two images, Neil.

Hi Neil both good shots but the first shot you need to back off to close
the next one what I would do is bring the leg down bend both and cross the feet so it looks more natrual so the legs are going to her right hand side the bag is big in the frame turn it more side on but the pose is not very good portraits done right are not easy but we can all find fault hope this helps but an excellent try
