Beautifully composed and balanced shot once again, Alun, the side lighting showing off the details and textures in the fore and middle grounds so well, and with the portrait format eminently appropriate. Lovely bit of landscape work.

Beautiful well composed image Alun, I usually prefer landscape to portrait, but this works wonderfully - well done !

Superb composition with a very well chosen viewpoint to make the most of the interesting shapes of the rocky outposts. I particularly like details such as the positioning of the path leading to the building and the way it stands out so clearly. The colours are also excellent. Charles.

Wow it reached 30 votes. Very encouraging again. I've always found portrait orientation easier when conveying depth. The images that have received the most attention here fall into that category so it must mean that I need to improve my landscape orientation shots! :O)

Super Image Great Light
The best composition I've seen from here and I've seen many. Great side lighting, and the inclusion of Snowdonia in the bg is excellent.

As mentioned by many above it is the quality of the composition that really stands out here. A very effective lead-in from the rocks in the foreground to the stony ground on the right then up the path to the lighthouse the distant mountains and a beautiful sky. A great visual journey.
Wonderful light and great colour. Superb Alun.

Thanks again, Fraser, Adrian and Shaun. I was amazed that i had the place to myself. Saw a tog with a tripod as i arrived but he left just as things were getting promising. It was a beautiful afternoon and I felt privileged to be there. It was a long walk back in darkness along the beach though!
