Posing patiently

By Kaxxie
This is the first time I have attempted to desaturate the background. Thank you Dora for telling me itís an effect you use. Iím sure some of you lovely people out there will tell me how I could have improved the image. I used Snapseed and my iPad.

This little cutie was foraging on the leafy path in a wooded area of RHS Wisley. He was very well camouflaged. My friend and I were literally a couple of steps away when I spotted him. We stopped walking while I spoke to him quietly. He kept his eye on us while he carried on his eating his finds. He then flew behind me and perched on this tap. I was able to turn round, take out my phone and take a few images. What a considerate little chap.

Thank you for all your votes and comments on yesterdayís images. I really appreciate them.

Stay safe everyone

Karen

You'll have to show me how you did it. I knew this moment would come.

Be careful of desat. It can become addictive. I find when you have a lot of clutter in the background it can help push the subject forward.

Nice result , only idea would be to see the result with the post desaturated as well. More please !
Best regards
