Pots and shadow pots

By helenlinda
Yesterday was a day for shadows - blue sky, cold, sunny and clear colours.SmileSmile
I photographed this walking up the hill to do my shift at St Mary's Hospice shop.
Three versions - in reverse order.
v3 as it was
v2 with the monstrosity removed
v1 with less sky
Today is wet, grey and miserable by contrast SadSad

Yesterday was also a wonderful day as I received User Awards from Ray, Keith, Richard, Lynne and Jenn for my digitally manipulated Holes image - many thanks to each one of you.

I think I prefer the image without the TV ariel as it provides one with a timeless feel. Very well observed and captured with great light, colour and clarity Helen.

Trouble today is that buildings come without all these wonderfully different chimneys and pots - I especially like the Tudor period ones Smile Nice capture, Helen, looks better without the offending TV aerial, and go for the crop in V1 as my fave Smile

Was a time when every roof top had them Helen. Maybe you should go out and about and crop the lot. Do like V1.

I must admit I have mixed feelings about TV aerials... I like watching a bit of telly.
But your photo looks better without it WinkSmile

Aerials like refuse bins are ugly but alas necessary.
Great chimneys and shadows Helen.
