Power to the people...

By NDODS
A photography that I captured only a short while ago. It was captured quite near the village of Middle Stoke and depicts a section of the famous Kent Marshes and the once Coal fired Kingsnorth Power Station. The marshes provide many opportunities to capture an array of birds throughout the year.

Thank you all for taking the time out to comment and vote on yesterdays upload, your comments and messages provide me with not only photographic knowledge but many comforting and caring words.

As regards to the 15.00 "No I did not pay the cheeky old bugger, but I did leave a small donation in the allocated box"

I hope that you all have a great day, we have had a slight covering of the white stuff, but nothing to write home about.

Regards as always

P.S. Kizmet had his second injection yesterday, so it shall be two weeks before he is allowed out. In the meaning time he has discovered a liking for toes...

I just had a look at yesterday's comments - the 15 caused a few comments alone!!!! We went to Iona once & the woman tried to charge us so we had the 'house of God' conversation while the family pretended they weren't with me. Sad Like you, I quietly put in the box on the way out.

But to today's picture. Apart form the boat it's quite dark & Dickensian. One can imagine 'the hands' at work inside. Excellent industrial colours.Smile

Belching out emissions and adding further to the brooding nature of the sky: an unusual admixture of countryside and heavy industrialisation, Nathan, captured in a very atmospheric, if not threatening, image.

Beside the terrific lighting, this picture goes beyond in puzzling us. Leisure boats somewhere that is not sea or lake, on a background of polluting industries. It is sort of telling us that in an industrial zone, you must find happiness with what you have to put up with. Smile

Nathan, its a nice atmospheric image with lot of impact.

I like the contrast of the marshland and what could be viewed as the industrial age of old. Its like a mash up of a Lowry and a Constable... imagine the Haywain if you would against the backdrop of Lowry's 1950 Industrial Landscape
