Predator & Prey

By TerryMcK
An Emperor Dragonfly consuming its prey, a Four-spotted Chaser Dragonfly.
I've photographed Dragonflies with smaller prey, such as Damselflies, but this is the first time I've seen an Emperor with a large victim.
This time of the year, I always pack my macro lens along with my telephoto lens. The challenge with macro photography is to find something a little different and Nature's smaller creatures often provide that kind of opportunity.

I'm thankful to those who took the time to view, like and comment on my previous post, "Brimstone & Thistle."
And I value the User Awards given by Helen (SocksAndStuff) and Geoff (simmo73).
