Preston Mill

By KingBee
The wonderfully pastoral setting of Preston Mill, East Lothian, where yesterday's upload was also taken. I've put up images of the mill previously, and not recently, but this is one from last year's 'road test' with the X-T3/10-24. Not quite Flatford - it's was never meant to be - but the processing, quite unintentionally, has in some ways created that sort of look. It was only when I had finished tinkering with the image that the slight similarity became apparent. And to think I forgot to save the damned thing as a preset..........

Sincere appreciation for the UAs (from Steve, Allan and Alfie), votes and comments for yesterday's shot of "The tower.....".

There's definitely a touch of the Constables about this, Bob. A lovely scene, beautifully presented.

The trees looking in...
Looking at the reflections, I think this may benefit from a clockwise rotation.

After thinking about Moira's comment, I have now put up a 'flipped' version for everyone's interest.

a beautifully worked image of a most picturesque location
and i think what Moira had in mind was straightening it horizontally...

The ivy-covered trees having a private conversation with the mill, leaning closer for privacy...

Love the bent trees, leaning towards the mill, as well as the cloud formations and the reflections. A very attractive scene.

Delightful ! One Constable didnt paint.
I agree with Moira about a slight rotation to line up the roof with its reflection.
