"Pretty V. Pestilent"

By RonnieAG
V 1: Pretty.........Streptocarpus 'Laura', propagated from a small portion of a single leaf over the winter and captured yesterday in the KS Studio.........captured at f/16.0
V 2: Pestilent..........Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens Glandulifera) now choking so many of our river, stream and canal banks and crowding out our native wild vegetation.........captured at f/4.5

These ones are for Annette.

My thanks to all who commented on House for an Art Lover.....Vol. 3. May show further examples of CRM's work in future.

Not only photographic but also propagation skills on show in V1 and what a beauty! I understand the plant featured in V2 is also getting to the stage where applications for a mortgage will be refused if it is within a few metres of any property.

Your Strepocarpus is beautiful Ronnie - well done in nurturing it.
I must admit I rather like these 'pests' in V2 - I didn't know what they were called
before now.
Two equally lovely images.

fine captures Ronnie the saturation of the green in V1 is superb and contrasts so well with the flower also the leaf detail is excellent giving a great feeling of texture V2 is also a very fine capture like the background there is so much of this pesky weed in the park now....also the light in both shots is superb the GEA is well deserved
