Lovely image and nice interpretation with the textured layer. Were you not tempted to add some Egyptian Hieroglyphics to the wall behind? If this is Princess Ahmanet based on the film Mummy, she is portrayed as evil and the expression here seems more placating than malicious. Perhaps changing her pupils as in the film would give it that evil look?

Cracker !!!! I rarely award portrait shots probably because of my main interest in landscape photography; but this image is so strong & expressive - it strikes me and cant put my finger on why it does !!!! Brilliant ....
