V2 for me - more oomph to it.

The lead is the Goldilocks shot for me Dave. Not too brash, not too dull - just right! (It was Goldilocks wasn't it?)

I couldn't quite get the reflections I liked in the lead with the contrasty (is that a word) boat rendering while retaining the metallic finish on the outboard motor. More software than ability.

A mod uploaded using local adjustments in DxO to bring a little more of what I wanted to it.

I like the toning in V2 with the stronger contrast between boat and reflection and your mod as second choice.

I like the lead and the mod. All in the eye of the beholder! Been a good set of images to get our teeth into - thanks Dave!

I'm a poor one to ask given I'm just learning to work in mono. But one of the things I find difficult to avoid is the halo. The darker this is the more obvious the halo.

I tried making the water lighter on a small portion and it seemed to eliminate the halo and also make the darker bits pop a bit more. But with what I have to work with here it would be a long tedious process.
