Haven't been around much, work has been getting in the way again.
Thought I'd upload something as its been a while, more use of displacement maps to put the shadow of razorwire over the original image.
The image is based on the balance most parents have to judge between freedom and protection for their kids.

I have a couple of days leave so will be catching up on the shots I have missed hopefully

Let me be the first to give you a major click.. Welcome back brother, you've been sorely missed... And to come back with such a cracker can only mean 'into the hundreds of clicks we go'!!... Great work mate, you've really got the displacement mapping down to a tee... Love it... Your friend.. 5 (Love the selective colouring on the eyes too)...

Powerful shot, Mo. You're lad is so angelic looking, but the razor wire shadow places his innocence in so much jeopardy. Great image.

A brilliant composition, You've caught the subject really well with the expression of innocence. The added displacement mapping is, for me at leat, a stroke of pure genious, and turns the image into a peice of art. I love the sense of loneliness about it too. It's a cracking provocative image and the clicks are going to fly in.
Excellent work that deserves all the credit it's going to get. BIG CLICK from me.

Bold statement, Very powerful, and having a 6m old son, his freedom is so important to me. To be free to accomplish anything his heart leads him to do(in God's eyes).Thank you for this shot, it makes me reflect.

when I first saw the thumb nail and the title, I thought that this was a child from Israel
behind the wall, my eldest sons wife's family live there and I have often thought that the wall which they say is keeping them safe is also keeping them prisoners,
Any way the description is of a different meaning which is close to my heart as I work with children and I have often thought about the message that your picture is about, are we freeing the children from danger, or are we making prisoners of them beautiful flowers in a hot house environment
your photo is very beautiful, and thought provoking, the little boy is a little charmer
well done
p.s. sorry to ramble on a bit

I'm lost for words of praise on this Mo, other than to say how well you've got into the use of displacement maps, something I promised myself I'd look into and so far I've only got as far as type, layered on to an undulating surface...this of yours is into a realm I haven't yet explored. I admire the capacity you have for coming up with unique ideas, like Victor, you seem to generate them, endlesslySmile
