This is fantastic, probably the cleanest and most crisp shot I've seen in ages, candidate for an EC if ever I saw one. Well done.

Wow! Need I say more? Well, ok then. It's one thing having a photo of puffins just sitting on the rocks. But it's another to see a bit of action! Brilliantly captured and so sharp. I love it! Well done.

Thanks for all the comments, and my thanks to Pete for the EC and photo of the week.

Steve the photo was taken using max zoom 380 mm.
It was also taken with the C730 only not the C750, I dropped the 730 onto concrete, got 750 as insurance replacement.

I am currently saving up for a new digital camera and was considering to get an Olympus c750uz. Would you recommend it for me(I am 13)?
davefolky 18 5 United Kingdom
27 Mar 2004 9:59AM

It depends what you intend using it for. The zoom is great for wildlife, the macro is also superb. I have found it to be a great camera for the money, you can get them for well under 300 now. Bearing in mind you also get an infra red remote control with it, that enables you to operate your camera from up to 15 metres away, it is good value for money. The only real niggle I do have is the shutter lag, but you do get used to it & compensate for it.
Hope this is of some use to you, and looking at your portfolio I am sure you will provide plenty of excellent photos for the readers gallery in the future.
