Way ,way back in the winter of 1963 I watched the students racing Mini's( which of course were very new back then ) on the ice on this stretch of the river, the ice was over 2 ft thick and you could walk from Jesus Green to Granchester all the way on the river.
After many years away from the city it is wonderful to see that some things remain constant. lovely composition.
