Pylons for Life

By tonyguitar
These four cable stapeled pylons have been holding Lafarge cement barges secure to the shoreline for 70 years. Barges stopped here for cement unloading to trucks that slowly built up Courtenay and Comox. A cement plant was built for local needs recently and now there is no more barge shipping. These pylons still provide security for everyone from motor boats to kayaks. They will outlast me I am sure.

A 'belt and braces' construction that will hold up for a long, long time, Tony.
