Quaint Refuge

By hwatt
Kenmore, Torridon, Scotland.

A little white cottage set on the shores of Upper Loch Torridon close to Sheildag. The wee red roof makes it instantly photogenic but more to the point was the gorgeous lemon yellow sunlight spilling around the hillside and grazing the white walls of the building. I am afraid it was impossible to get that chimney stack a fraction lower to place it in the water as I was already standing on tiptoe with my tall tripod perilously close to toppling, its legs being partially closed. Hopefully the light carries it anyway.

Pentax 67II, 55-100 zoom, polariser, 0.6 Reverse grad, f/22 at 1 Second, Fuji Velvia 50.
