Queue for the fish man.

By jimmoore1
Queue for the fish man at the Tuesday market.
Ledbury market charter was issued by King Stephen to Bishop Robert de Bethune in 1138 and in 1584 Queen Elizabeth granted a new charter, allowing a weekly market on Tuesday as you can see this still runs today.
The building on stilts beside the fish queue is the Market house build started in 1617.
The church date from about 1180. ( at the top of the lane) This was a rebuild of probal Saxon church.
The most significant thing for me is that all the old buildings are all still in use.
