Quick, before he sees us...

By saltireblue
An unsuspecting ePz member stands with his back to the action, which is in the form of a class outing on their way from somewhere to somewhere else. We were heading from somewhere else back to whence we came, so there was no danger of arriving at our destination only to find its peace and calm destroyed by a group of teenagers.
Cue Victor Meldrew!

Many thanks to my male model, whom I assure you was over the age of consent when this image was taken. Taken somewhere in deepest, darkest Derbyshire.

In addition, many thanks to all who showed interest in my previous upload - much appreciated and thanks for bothering.

Malc

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

You hear of ramblers being trampled underfoot by a herd of cattle. A herd of school children is less common.

It reminds me my childhood days when we loved to play Hide & Seek game, one person used to count some numbers turning his back and we slowly moved to take our places for hide...Very nicely composed and love the juxtaposition...Very Good Shot...

A well crafted image with just the right exposure to give the effect of motion and still retain some definition. Good un!

A well-timed shot, Malc, and just the right shutter speed to capture the right amount of subject movement 👍

A bit blurred and slightly Wooly Malc. Smile
Capturing these elusive creatures outside of their natural
environment is no easy task. Especially when they've clearly
been spooked by something lurking in the undergrowth....
Nicely done.

I like the combination of the peaceful scene in the middle distance and the chaos about to descend on it.

Think I went to somewhere once, don't think I've been to somewhere else though. Great image which needed quick thinking and reactions from the photographer too ! Hope you found a good pub / coffee shop / fish & chips.

Impeccable timing, superb composition ... and a magnificent hat ! Notice our hero, his back turned on the frantic, modern world, musing on the poems of William Whimsy-Wordworst and softly intoning:

"I wandered lonely as a cloud / That floats on high o'er fields and hills / I've no idea where I am / I wonder what was in those pills? Mind you, those mushrooms were rather good ... hello clouds, hello sky

Looks to me as if the guy at the gate is about to get mugged, and he totally unaware of the immediate future.
Ho ! Ho !
Rather different to your own interpretation, and certainly would make for a caption competition.
Interesting photo though.

The essence of street photography - capturing the moment - without a street (perhaps the path counts ?)
Perfect timing
