I was last there in 2010, and took a few images, but none of them are anything more than simple record shots compared to this skillfully composed image, Dougie.
In my defence, I was just starting on my digital journey with a Canon 50D and a very gruesome 18-255 lens that couldn't give a sharp image to save its life!

You have to remember that I started with a box brownie and spent the next 50 years taking photographs professionally, you have to learn something in that time span Malc, when you are being paid ro take photographs you can't come back and say nothing happened.
Don't put yourself down there are many onsite who given some training could blossom, but ut takes time and effort.
All the very best Malc you're doing just fine. Keep enjoying our hobby.

Quote:My personal opinion is that quite a lot of landscape photography...and there are certainly examples on this site... isn't really about the landscape at all, it's about the photographer and how clever he is.
You are one of those whose work really IS about the landscape, and is a celebration of it.
That's all very kind Alan, Scotland can bring our the best in us and sometimes the worst in us. If I have given you pleasure in my images that's enough for me.
