Local slang for these nice looking geese is 'Quackers' or something similar. Birders tell me these are Lesser Canada Geese.
This is the first year that they have shared our local farmer's field with our Trumpeter swans who visit every year for three months.
Notice the high 800 ISO for 11 am. Many days are low light here on Vancouver Island. This is a rain forest, after all.
