I was trying for Dragonflies but noticed this little beastie. This was taken after it emerged from the water for a second time and it had a strand of weed over its eyes.
The processing was simply, a slight increase in contrast and a miniscule increase in saturation, then sharpened. I felt that for this kind of photo it was best to have it looking as natural as possible.
The second shot was taken before this and had no weed over its eyes.
The third up-load is of a male Broad-Bodied Chaser and is a part of my first Blog entry using a telephoto lens and extension tubes. This is about working distances and close-up work.
The fourth up-load is of a Green Hairstreak butterfly and is also part of my Blog.
