Indeed Dave ! the racing whippets are amazing dogs , all different sizes and they are actually very sweet natured .................. they just look fierce here because they are working so hard Grin Phil i didnae see any betting Wink had a guid day at the dugs GrinGrinGrin

Great action photo Rod love it. The pooch on the left , the black one, looks stunningly like my dog, and most people's first reaction is "aaaaaargh!" But they have to know she is daft as a brush adores children, curry and pubs . Steve ( I hasten to add we don't bring her up on curry and beer she just salivates at the smell of both!)

A great effort at dog racing photography Rod,my first attempt was no way as good as yours
The hardest sport to get good images is dog racing,your have done a brilliant job!

A super image Rod. I've never seen Whippet racing since I was a lad. We used to be paid sixpence for turning the old bicycle wheel which would pull the cuddly toy over the recreation ground when training these wonderful animals.

Yeah Nathan its dying out , theres only a few pockets left round the country usually in mining country obviously. the rag is pulled electrically now lol. Nah Alan i think its tape for either for an old injury or i think more likely for added grip . it was really hard and dry for the dogs running which is not ideal Smile

I love this all action shot Rod - these lovely dogs look so focused, - i really like their nobbly heads when you stroke them (our friend has seveal along with a hand full of greyhounds) and yes they are so gentle. Love it.
