Rain over Todmorden

I got soaked after taking this and had to stand away from my camera bag with tripod as it was very exposed when a thunderstorm came over.

Bad weather is something we see far too little of in photographs. All too often we are given a scene with a sunrise or sunset smeared over everything. Interestingly, painters seem far more willing to paint a scene like this than photographers are to snap it. This image should inspire us all to take our cameras out in the bad weather. You have captured so much atmosphere, I can almost feel the rain. Great!
