Random Ranunculus

By cattyal
These leafy Ranunculus are thirsty little blighters and also tend to droop rather quickly. The best way to revive them it seems is simply chopping the stem down a bit until you run out of suitable vases to put them in.

They're currently plonked in this glass - it does the job and I quite like the haphazard arrangement - the norm for me.

Originally they were blasted with light but then changed my mind as I liked the shadow so simply had them lit by a daylight bulb overhead and a 6 second exposure - that seemed to work ok.

Given my usual dollop of Lucisart Whyeth - sorry I'm still in love with it!

Thats a very unusal image Alison, but I guess looking at your portfolio thats your objective. I think the picture is absolutly stunning, the detail, light and colour works perfectly.
