Rannoch Mirror

By hwatt
Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

Some mornings you get up and you know they are going to be special. This was one of them, yes I had reservations about a cloudless sky but the thing is to try and use what your given to your advantage. I was faced with a lovely blue gradient and opposing warm hues where the rising sun had treated the Black mount hills like a projector screen and consequently turned blood red at first light. The windless morning duly doubled the scenes impact in reflection.

Pentax 67II, 45mm, 0.45ND grad, central portion selected, f/8 at 1/2 Second, Fuji Velvia 50.
