I am liking your processing Tom. Just pushed far enough to give the image some serious impact but not overpowering the scene. Fine composition too

Oooh, get you with your 'dodge and burn' ......... a phrase which, for me, usually means mucking about with the pyrography machine!! (Usually to no good effect! BlushBlush ) I shall have to get to grips with this sort of thing as I tentatively work my way through the intricacies of Affinity processing; I'm in the pottering about stage at the moment - and willl be for some time! I'm with PhiT2 - this has a nice bit of visual clout without looking overworked and the composition is lovely. SmileSmileSmile

An excellent composition and capture(s), Tom.
An image with much to look at and take in.
I love the imposing hotel(?) on the cliff top and the lovely rich colours and reflections in the water.
The bird is an important part of the image, too.
I fully expect someone to pop their head above the parapet as they climb up that well placed ladder.

I too have gone through all the agony of post processing in Photoshop and have learned quite a bit on the way. The main things was if you get it right in the initial exposure very little need of PS. However it often does not happen like that so PS is often a life saver. I also wonder do we need the powerful telephoto lens as most well exposed images can enlarge quite large at a push.
Digressing now so back to your picture. Nice composition with the boat acting as a balance to the hotel on the hill.
