Recovered Heroin Addict

19 April 2018. Celebrating Recovery, a 12 week course helping people overcome addictions run by Oldhams Church, Asley Bridge, Bolton, Lancs. Oldhams Church, a brand new fledgling church started by Rev Ben Woodfield in association with St Paul's Astlley Bridge is starting a corse to help people overcome an assortment of addictions and emotional baggage. .One of the course leaders is 42 year old Bolton Man Sean Kelly. His life has been a troubled one, starting with a family breakup and mental health problems, this ended up with periods in childrens homes, sexual abuse, that led him into using heoin, and becoming an alcoholic, His children took him and his wife Kelly Kelly along to the church.Through his new found Christian faith, his life has changed, and that of his wife. He is now free from his addictions. One ironic remnant of Sean's past is his tattoo of a priest smoking a joint!. Light at the end of the tunnel for Sean Kelly 42

It was a truly remarkable story, and a privilege to share it in the media.

I think Sean would say he didn't do it all himself, and the Alpha course was the catalyst.
