Went back on saturday afternoon on my way back from the Spotted Crake to better my images of the shrike, the light still wasn't that great but got into stealth mode and sat in a bush for 50 minutes.
This time got a series of fairly close shots and even saw the bird bring up a pellet...!!

It was well worth the wait, this is a lovely clear shot! The details are wonderful and there is eye contact!
