Red BUs and Pillar Box, The Strand

By AlexandraSD
So many icons around london, you could walk about with your eyes closed and still capture iconic scenes without even trying!

This was taken on The Strand after i paid a little visit to the magical, beautiful Somerset House, sadly spoilt as there was an ice skating rink skap bang in the middle, so i didnt stop at somerset house for long, and the light was failing now, it was the other side of 4:30pm, possibly even 5pm by the time i took this image, i wanted some detail in the sky, i think my camera overexposed slightly as the sky came out bright blue almost, not twilight, but i was using Auto modes throughout the day, unashamedly i might add, some say it is pointless owning a camera and never using it manually, or properly, i disagree with that, i can easily take an image manually, and usually do for most things, but this weekend i relaxed a bit and let the camera figure it out instead, and why not? Its for fun, nothing else, and it was a fun weekend Smile
