Red Deer Stag

By wanny
I took this shot on Loch Choire Estate in mid November 2009. Although the annual rut has finished some stags are holding hinds. The antlers will soon be shed but as the land has a very poor nutritional content the deer will naw at them for the mineral content that has gone in to producing them.

Stunning shot of this proud animal, the blue coming through from the eye is marvellous, lovely almost camouflage colours of beast and land
