Whilst I have seen red kites on many occasions and am well aware that they don't land on the ground to feed on carrion rather snatch it and fly away I've never heard nor seen a kite snatch from the surface of the water. Any idea what it snatched from the surface?
Jim

I too was thinking the very same thing, is this a first for Red Kites? if so you may have changed the text books.

Thanks all, sure many of you will know im not a wildlife photographer so i am really pleased with a GE & also a UA.

This is shoot on a lake in north wales at a feeding station, i thing it was a piece of chicken that had been dropped by another bird, i do have one or to more from yesterday, but the title would not have worked so well i think.

thanks all.
