Red Sky At Night

By BlueRoom
Red sky at night... The fish factory ship's alight.

Heres something daft to kick off 2011. I was going to file this under 'Photo Journalism' but purists may consider that the subtle alterations I've made to the setting rule this out. Smile

Last November the Athena, still smouldering ater 13 days, was a prominent feature in Gerrans Bay off Portscatho. Under the control of two tugs and waiting till it was considered safe to be towed into Falmouth it made a dark scar on the seascape during the day and twinkling light show as evening fell and the tugs lit up.... but it was the curious little eyes peering up out of the sea that I chose to focus on.

It's really hard to make constructive comments on your work Eric because it's all so unusual and brilliant. Anyway, suffice to say, another mini masterpiece and great fun.

Wow! Thanks folks for all those great comments. It's always nice when the wierd ones go out there and find friends.
Good to know Masie hasn't yet grown up so far as to leave me behind Dave. I'm hoping that one day she'll be Guest Editor. Smile
I remember that Malc. The eyeballs in the sky were the dog Boot, seen from the perspective of the population of a rock pool or something. Great stuff and beautifully drawn too.

This is excellent and I don't know if it takes your work to a new level but it's certainly a bright star in your very shiny firmament.
