Reedley Marina # 3

By JanieB43
Another from the Marina series. A wider angle view this time taking in both sides of the marina and of course, Pendle Hill in the distance. The marina, which is only up the road from my house, has only been open since August '08 and this was taken in November - as you can see, most of the berths are occupied already, with a few of the narrow boats being used as permanent homes. When this photograph was taken the ice had brought traffic in & out of the marina to a virtual standstill but as the ice melted they were often seen gliding gracefully up & down the canal. I can't wait for summer when I can get some more colourful images of the place.

This is rather nice nice viewed large so please try LARGE & F11.

Thanks for looking.

Certainly looks a moody sky, and that water looks rather cold, too, Jane! Should have quite a bit of colourful material there when you get some sun.
