Reeds and reflections

By LightTouchesSurface
There was a unique blend of fog, mist and rich golden hour light that excited my senses. The park gate opened before announced hours. I had it all to myself.

I love the early misty morning and the light on the Bulrushes. A perfect composition

A beautiful setting with some wonderful early morning light. I hope you don't mind me offering some advice from an outsiders perspective.
I see two things that draw my attention. The first being the tree which has the top cut off, perhaps a step or two back would allow you to include the top of it, but I understand you may lose some of that wonderful reflection so another option would be to use a portrait composition. Secondly, there is lense flare from the left of the image and amongst the reeds, when this happens you could try turning your camera a few degrees away from the sun, but if you start to lose too much of the scene you're trying to capture you could use your hand to block the rays hitting the lense, I sometimes use my filter pouch as it is a good size and black. Of course these things could be manipulated in PS, but if you're like me it's better to get it right in the camera so you don't spend much time in front of a PC.

Keep up the good work.

Ian.
