Continuing the theme that Washington D.C. is a photographer's dream destination and a trauma, I have persevered with the Korea Memorial. This photo, like the earlier one, took a long time to get right and again I think I have captured something special.
I have had a love affair with the American flag since we first visited America in 1990. It came into being as we crossed The Bay from the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco to Sausalito.
Laing would have patiently waited for me to get it right, and then tell me which one was the best of the many I took and advised me on minute colour manipulation. I have only myself to rely on now.
I am still trying to understand my new camera, the Leica M-E and my two Leica lenses. 35mm Summarit and 50mm Summilux.
