Yes, the contrast... Plus, that's a wonderfully calm, strong face. If he has seen you he's not at all concerned or shaken. From the medals, he's seen far worse things than a camera pointed at him I suspect.

I do not like the man next to him I would love just to crop him out, and focas on the main person the Chelsea Pensioner.

another great photo for the armistace day as someone said early he has had worse things pointed at him

I used to visit a chelsea pensioner with the Wifes Grandad, very small accomadation areas for these old men, this has all changed now, as women are now allowed to stay in the quarters.
