Remembering Iris

My first iris is out!!
I have used some of the petal patterns to put together an image to celebrate the life of Iris, the great grandmother of my grandchildren, whose funeral was yesterday
Life has many twists and turns, as these patterns indicate.
Mostly I will remember Iris as a very frail old lady who had also been a very prolific knitter, especially of toys and jumpers for the boys.

A beautiful tribute to a dear lady who must have also loved color. If she knit toys and children's clothes, color brought her joy in her old age. Bless her.
