Is it meant to be blurred, and if so, why?

Presume the effect you were looking for was an impressionist painting - if so you achieved your aim.

Quite simply because I like it that way. I pass this cottage often, & the eye focusses on the cottage particularly, in its remoteness. That's the impression I'm giving, but I don't expect everyone to like it.

I am not sure this is supposed to be representational at all - much more to do with exploring the amazing open space and the fantastic colour balances. I like it too and the weird blurring effect is imo really quite special. I hope it sets the world alight here on EPZ (I have to say that it might not) but to be honest this is the sort of photograph that needs to been seen huge on a gallery wall. Very good work indeed

Best wishes

Good lighting and composition, and I really like the treatment. Indeed impressionistic, looks quite arty.

Fantastic viewed large. It really would look fabulous ptinted large especially on canvas to highlight the painting with light effect. Well done.

I love the way you treat your landscapes, particularly the way you fetch just enough detail back through the blur, and find it depressing that on a site like this you are called on to justify your approach. Photography has to be about more than just pressing a button.

A very beautiful image. I just love the stripes of blurred colour with just the tiny cottage perfectly placed. A lovely piece of art.
