Returning from the market

Hi to all! On an excursion to some waterfalls near Oaxaca, Mexico, I saw this couple on their way back home. I leaned over my sister-in-law to take a picture and just barely made it. The signor was heading for the back of the car to avoid my camera but his wife was smiling so I take it his intent was just to frustrate my attempt. I still like the photo a lot and hope you appreciate it too. There is a story, the characters are interesting and authentic and it is not so easy to find people belonging to the indigenous groups living their traditional life nowadays (my first in Mexico was 1991 and it has changed a lot).

A lovely image of every day life in a land far away. A well chosen view point. And, the shadows plus the splash of red really do make this a delightful image, Viola.

I am so pleased you like the image John. It was definitely luck I managed to take it and I had to be very quick before he disappeared behind the car that was moving..
