The background makes the image, shifting light for moving sand.
I'm seeing a slight tilt in the reflection, which is odd as the hourglass looks straight. I'd like to fiddle with this against the grid, probably using a mix of Rotate and Skew. I'm fussy about reflections...

Love the concept here Somnath, the reflections do need to be a touch straighter but if the weight of the person is to the left and the floor is a bit 'bouncy' then that would possibly explain it.

The movement of light (and time?) behind the hour glass is intriguing. Is it a dancer?
The sharp stillness of the hour glass represents to me the immutability of time passing, the dancer's movement the frantic efforts of humans to make the most use of the time they have.... and the reflection? perhaps our memories of times past.

Altogether an intriguing image Somnath, well done.

I would guess the slight tilt in the reflection is just a result of the wide angle lens and the camera slightly angled down.

As usual a thoughtful image Somnath. Smile

Thanks Edward, but 24mm × 1.6 crop factor = 38.4mm or say 38mm, so wide angle distortion will be almost nil, actually the floor is not even...

Intriguing and so different. I do like the very blacks and the super focused timer against the blurry background. Your trademark use of light is stunning and award winning. This is so very well done Somnath.
