Riding High, Shooting Low

By Coast
A self portrait I undertook for the black and white group weekly challenge. The subject was low viewpoint.

I took this using an intervalometer to release the shutter with the camera mounted on a tripod pointing up from midway and forward of the front wheel. The bike was mounted on a turbo trainer and I was actually pedalling!

Converted to mono in CS5 after adding a different sky on a layer mask as the sky on Sunday when this was taken was flat and light grey.

Selective sharpening on the eyes.

Any C&C welcome.

I really like this. The wide angle & low Power along with mono rendering work really well together.

Many thanks all for your comments. Always a bit daunting doing a self portrait and I'm glad it's been well received.

Really cool shot , maybe a bit more care could have been taken in blending in the sky around the shoulders but minor flaw , nice pic,
