Right Hook

By rogerdoger
A shot from a few months ago taken at a boxing match between 2 Para and 2 Rifles at Colchester garrison barracks. Because I was not allowed to use flash and I knew the light levels would be dire I borrowed a friends 24-70 2.8 lens. Even still ,I had to rate the ISO at 6400 and shoot wide open at 500th sec at 2.8. Considering the high ISO, its not too bad which is down to the quality of the 5D mark III and noise reduction in Lightroom. I was only allowed to shoot from one corner of the ring and only from between the bottom rope and the floor of the canvas.

Excellent timing; the low angle isolates the boxers well and adds drama to the shot. Makes me want to get the gloves on Smile!
