Riley's Life.

By Tooma
I took this shot from the ferry as we travelled through the Sound of Mull on our way to Craignure, on Mull. The land nearest is the southern tip of the island of Lismore, and the area where the mountains fall away into the distance, that expanse of water between them is Loch Linnhe, which stretches all the way up to Fort William.

A glorious day at the end of April last year. Hopefully we shall manage to visit at least one more of our islands this year. Smile

Great shot taken on a lovely West Highland day. If I am not mistaken, the snow covered mountain in the centre background is Ben Nevis. This is an area where I go sailing every year and I am looking forward to get back on the water at the end of April... hopefully to a scene like this ... but up there you just never know. That is part of the appeal of the area and, for a photographer the constantly changing atmospherics bring lots of opportunities for great images like this one. SmileSmileSmile
