Ring-tailed lemur

Close-up shot of the ring-tailed lemur, shown yesterday. I did not use a flash fearing it might spook the animal. I had hope the wide aperture would make the white support column out of focus enough that it would not be a problem. At home, I tried to 'smudge out' this white column, but that action made the picture looked worst. Attempt to 'cut' the background out made the lemur looked shaved.
